Venue FAQ: Everything Couples Want to Know

Planning a wedding comes with a million moving parts—and your venue is the biggest decision that sets everything else in motion. At The Rustic Daisy, we want you to feel confident from the very first tour to the final send-off. Here are the most common questions couples ask (and the real answers you need) about booking, amenities, prep spaces, timelines, and what’s included.

When should we book?

Most couples book their venue first, then build everything else around the date. If you’re planning a peak-season wedding, you’ll want to inquire early—especially for Saturdays. If you’re flexible on day-of-week or season, you may have more options.

What’s included with our rental?

Every couple wants clarity here. Your venue rental typically covers your reserved date and access to the property and designated event spaces. What’s “included” can vary by package and date, so the best move is to review the current inclusions list and confirm details during your tour.

What amenities are available on-site?

Amenities are the difference between a venue that’s pretty and a venue that’s actually easy to use.

Common amenities couples look for include:

  • Comfortable getting-ready spaces
  • Climate-controlled indoor options
  • Outdoor ceremony locations
  • Restrooms and guest comfort features
  • Photo-ready areas across the property
  • Parking and accessibility considerations

Do you have bridal and groom suites?

Yes—getting-ready spaces matter more than most couples realize. They set the tone for the entire day and can make your timeline smoother, your photos better, and your morning calmer. (We’ll go deeper on this in Week 3.)

How does the wedding-day timeline usually flow?

While every wedding is unique, a typical flow looks like:

  1. Arrival + getting ready
  2. First look (optional) + wedding party photos
  3. Ceremony
  4. Cocktail hour
  5. Reception
  6. Sunset photos
  7. Send-off

A good venue supports this flow with logical transitions between spaces, plenty of photo backdrops, and comfortable areas for guests.

Can we do both ceremony and reception on-site?

Many couples prefer one location for everything—less travel, fewer logistics, and a more relaxed guest experience. If you’re considering both indoor and outdoor options, Week 2 will help you compare.

What should we ask during a tour?

Bring these questions with you:

  • What’s included in the rental fee?
  • How many hours are included, and what are the access times?
  • What’s the rain plan?
  • What are the noise or end-time policies?
  • What vendor requirements exist (insurance, preferred list, etc.)?
  • Where do couples typically take photos?
